Learn More Tom Davin, CEO of 5.11 Tactical, former Marine officer, and current sixty year old (as of today) is doing something special for his hectagenarian birthday. Davin calls it “60 for 60”, and instead of running, rucking, rowing a mile for each year he's spent on Earth, he's raising $60,000 for veterans with traumatic brain issues and injuries. Here's what he had to say about it: Friends — Yes indeed, October 4 is my big 6-0 birthday. I’m blessed with good health, a loving family and great friends like you. Unfortunately many of our active military and veterans are suffering with brain related health issues. So rather celebrating with a 60 mile rucksack march, I’m raising $60,000 to support research for brain health through the Infinite Hero Foundation. Please join me in “60 for Brain Health.” https://infinitehero.kindful.com/?campaign=273253 Molly and I donated $25,000 to jumpstart the effort. Anything you can do to assist or pass on to your friends will be much appreciated. Today there are many exciting developments like Magnetic Resonance Therapy (MeRT) at the USC Brain Treatment Center https://www.braintreatmentcenter.com/ that have great potential to address PTS, TBI and other brain health issues impacting our military communities. These emerging treatments are not yet FDA approved, so private funding can “bridge the gap.” Money raised in this campaign will support continued research and treatment for active and military veterans.
