Written by Jacki Billings Victory First and Brownells team up to launch a new set of drop in pistol barrels, aptly named the Brownells Edition Victory series. The lineup delivers match grade, drop-in barrels for several popular handguns. Though Victory brand barrels have been in production for Glock handguns for several months, the latest expansion and partnership intends to deliver more options, eventually extending to Smith and Wesson, Sig Sauer, and HK shooters. The Brownells Edition Victory Series currently serves up barrels for the Glock 19, 17, and 43 but will soon cover barrels for the Gen 5 Glock 19 and Glock 17, Smith and Wesson M&P and Shield in 9mm, Sig Sauer P320 and 226, and Heckler and Koch VP9. Current Glock and Sig barrels are machined from 416R stainless with 1:10 twist and an 11 degree recessed crown. Outfitted with a black nitride finish, barrels come in threaded options cut for 1/2×28 thread pitch. Threaded variants are fitted and shipped with a custom thread protector by Victory First. Victory First says the Browenlls series barrels have been put through the ringer in terms of testing to ensure accuracy and reliability. “While we have been producing barrels for our own customers of Victory First for some time now, we were very excited to have Brownells ask us to produce the Brownells Edition Victory Barrel for them.” Matt ‘Jake’ Jacques, owner of Victory First, said in a statement. “We did our homework on these barrels, testing and tweaking for nearly a year, and we are confident in their performance and reliability. We are taking steps in quality control to include 100-percent quality control and bore inspection to ensure the money you spend it well invested. We have done our part for accuracy; the rest is up to you.” For its part, Brownells says it's pleased to bring Victory First barrels to more consumers through the new partnership. “Brownells is excited to be carrying the barrels from Victory First because of the quality they bring at a very attractive price point,” said Brownells Lead Product Manager Paul Levy. Pricing starts at $124, heading north depending on the model.
