One of the top brands in the weapon-mounted light game, Streamlight has offered a duel red laser/white light TLR for a while – but it is now going to be available with a green laser.Introducing the RM 1 and RM 2 LASER-G Tactical Lights specially designed for rifles.Featuring integrated 1913 rail mounting, independently operating push-button, and remote pressure switches, these are designed as complete standalone kits to outfit your rifle with. The TLR RM 1 will include a 510-530nm green laser and 500 lumens/5,000 candela white light while the TLR RM 2 will have the same green laser and a 1,000 lumens/10,000 candela white light. Both models will include Streamlight’s well-known strobe feature for the lights. Because what’s a rifle light without a built-in rave. The RM 1 will use one standard CR123A lithium battery and the RM 2 will require two CR123A lithium batteries. Both models will have approximately 1.5 hours of continuous run time, 3 hours of strobe, and 60 hours of laser-only. Both models are also rated as IPX4 water-resistant. MSRP for the TLR RM 1 LASER-G and TLR RM 2 LASER-G lighting systems are $519.40 and $540.60, respectively. While the benefits of visible lasers are something that can be debated ad nauseam, if this is something that you’re looking for in a WML then Streamlight’s new offering is compelling. Green lasers are easier for our eyes to see and pick up on and offer some major benefits over red lasers. With one of the major limitations of visible light lasers being they have extremely limited range, green lasers are able to extend that visible range considerably. While I would never claim to be someone that cares about having a visible laser on my rifle, I am a huge proponent of white lights. Streamlight offering a package that delivers both in an easy-to-use format is never a bad thing.Read up on why you need a weapon light!
