Nikon has unveiled the PROSTAFF 7, its newest laser rangefinder. The PROSTAFF 7 features 6×21 magnification with the ability to display ranges in .1-yard increments and a true 600-yard ranging capability. Nikon designed this rangefinder with single button operation and compact size (4.4’’x 2.8’’x 1.6’’) so it can be operated with one hand. Also to conserve battery life the PROSTAFF 7 will power down after 8 seconds. The PROSTAFF 7 also includes Nikon’s ID (Incline/Decline) and Tru-Target Technology. The ID Technology compensates for up to +/-89 degrees incline or decline shooting angle; while the Tru-Target Technology lets users choose between two different ranging modes. In first target priority mode, users can target an object as small as a fence post and get a precise reading. In distant target priority mode, the rangefinder displays the distance of the farthest target among a group of targets measured.
