NEW from Browells comes the BRN-4 parts kits! Built to the design specs of the H&K 416 and using genuine HK 416 stripped upper receivers and handguards, these are fully compatible with both HK 416 lowers and standard AR-15 lowers – but come in at a fraction of the cost compared to full HK 416 uppers!

The stripped uppers in the kits are surplus German-made originals and part of a one-time lot of parts Brownells was able to source a few years ago. German stripped uppers may show signs of use, are limited in number, and will not be replaced once they sell out.

Barrels are available in 10.4”, 14.5”, and 16” lengths in either heavy or medium profiles. Barrels are made by Faxon, piston gas systems, and chambered in 5.56 NATO.

A complete kit is on sale right now for $1,500, but individual parts are also available.

While expensive, this is a pretty cool option for people not willing to cough up the extremely high cost to buy complete (and very rare) HK416 uppers.

This is a workhorse of an upper that will last you a very, very long time.

The HK416 is perhaps most successful adaptation of the AR-15 platform for piston operation. Long coveted by AR-15 collectors, these guns have been scarce and prohibitively expensive in the U.S. Now, folks who want to experience 416 performance first-hand have a truly affordable alternative, thanks to our new HK416-compatible BRN-4 Piston Upper Receiver Kit!

The kit contains all the parts needed to assemble a complete upper, including an original Heckler & Koch® HK416 stripped receiver and handguard. The rest of the HK416-compatible BRN-4 parts are new-manufactured for Brownells: bolt-carrier group with tough Nitride finish, gas piston, operating rod, gas block (and pins), barrel nut, and handguard retaining screw.
