More from MDT:
MDT has just re-launched their Light Sniper System (LSS) chassis with second generation design and feature updates that result in a modular aluminum chassis that weighs only 1.4 pounds.
The original LSS chassis was one of MDT’s first chassis systems and was designed for use with compact, short barrelled rifles to provide light-weight, accuracy improvement and consistency. The LSS GEN2 now has the same styling and feature changes that have been seen in MDT's newer chassis systems released in recent years.
“As we expand our product lines we need to ensure our legacy products stay current to take advantage of our latest modular accessories and components.” says Engineering Manager Brad Neels.
New features include an ambidextrous magazine release, M-LOK pattern attachment slots on the sides and bottom of the forend, barricade-stop grooves integrated ahead of mag-well and a side-relieved mag well.
Like other MDT chassis the LSS GEN2 is designed with V-shaped bedding surfaces, allowing shooters to drop their rifle right into the chassis without the need for additional bedding.
The chassis accepts AICS pattern magazines as well as AR-style pistol grips and buttstocks to provide maximum customization and modularity to the end user.
“The LSS is one of the most popular chassis we produce”, says Neels, “this update will ensure it remains so.”
