I try to avoid second-guessing any TTPs (Tactics, Techniques and Procedures) or training methodology. Most good analyses are informed and objective. Critiquing an event, behavior or technique without context is like deciding ground truth with just a highway map. It's incomplete.

Sometimes, though…well, before I cringe and shake my head, let me make a stipulation. I know there are many people out there far better qualified than I to analyze and constructively criticize matters tactical. The instructors at this place are, according to the website, largely former SOF personnel with a leavening of civilian tactical officers. We don't know from a cursory look who the guys in the video are (could be the cadre). Some would say argue that is significant to any objective look; others that it makes no difference at all. Could be they are the training cadre. Maybe they're obscenely confident civilian shooters (and one camera man who really trusts them). Anyway, I will just leave this here and hope for an intelligent, academic discussion.

“… our small quick hit shoot houses are ballistic such as the one shown in the video. The plywood is a surface facia that prevents splatter. There is ballistic sheeting and 20 inches thick of compressed tire shred before the other side of the wall's ballistic sheeting and plywood. 5.56 will not penetrate the first sheet and spalls into the plywood. 30 rounds of AP 7.62 NATO in the same impact point will not reach the other side of the wall. It is tested up to .338 Lap Mag.”
