Our critical sear engagement surfaces have a propriety machining process that renders superior surface finish and dimensional control. As compared to our competition, the techniques we use to establish a 1-2 RMS surface finish as opposed to EDMing, which leaves a pitted, 32 RMS surface, compared to a mirror finish, which is 0 RMS. CMC Triggers’ sear engagement overlap is six to eight times greater than our competitors, providing a much safer trigger and enhanced reliability. Trigger components are fabricated from 8620 alloy steel, and S7 Tool steel machined to exacting tolerances and finished for the longest-lasting service life possible. Minimal lock-time is designed into the assembly using controlled hammer weight, and balanced and activated using a Rocket Wire hammer spring. This design feature assures repeatable function, with either commercial or military-grade ammunition. Positive trigger reset allows for a quick follow up shot on target. CMC’s multi-patented one-piece assembly installs in minutes.
