The social media juggernauts of Article 15 Clothing and Ranger Up are throwing a private party to premier the freshly-cut trailer reel for their film “Range 15”, Tuesday January 19th, coinciding not so coincidentally with the SHOT Show — and by “private” you should understand their last party at Paris casino’s Chateau nightclub broke the club’s attendance (and drink sales) records. The Range 15 film is an anxiously-awaited crowdfunded sensation: an action-comedy cocktail of pottymouth humor, military accuracy, pro-2nd Amendment and pro-Veteran themes, mixed with a lot of fake blood. The film revolves around five military drinking buddies that find themselves thrown into a battle for their lives against a zombie onslaught: But instead of dreading this disaster, they embrace it. Hollywood regulars William Shatner, Sean Astin, and Danny Trejo, real world military heroes like Marcus Luttrell, Leroy Petry, and Clint Romesha join Mat Best, Nick Palmisciano, Vincent “Rocco” Vargas, and Jarred Taylor to plow their way through blood-soaked, firearm-friendly comedy and adventure. Jarred Taylor of Range 15, clearly excited about the “over the top ending that we can’t talk about right now” did let on that, in a mutual decision, the crew spent every dollar of its budget – and a little extra – on an opportunity to ensure a “…finale that is going to be amazing with some guest stars in a battle scene that is just hilarious.” While the movie’s release date isn’t expected until this summer, the preview trailer will be shown in Las Vegas during SHOT Show week.
