Learn More Triumph Systems (@triumphsystems) is a new company run by vetrepreneur Jared Ogden and Ken Harris (Gil Moore, Mike Levine and Rik Emmett have nothing to do with it). They're a firearms accessory company that's making a great entry to the firearms/tactical consumer products market with an innovative new line of reactive targets. While I'm not one to get worked up about yet another new target system, even if described as reactive targets, these definitely interest me. I will probably try at least a few in my own training and also when I go out to shoot with friends and family members (especially the younger ones). The various multi-variable Triumph Systems targets are described as “…unique cognitive stress target training systems” and are designed to enhance shooting proficiency through increased realism, durability and transportability. There are currently four types, all available in early 2016; the Threat Down Silhouette, Pop Packs, Pivotal Trainer and the Ethical Harvest Whitetail. While the Pop Pack is interesting enough (I would probably only use them with younger minions or for call out drills), the Threat Down Silhouette is much more so. It provides instant feedback (and immediate gratification to the shooter), much like plates do, but utilizing a colored, bio degradable gel that lets shooters know immediately where their rounds are impacting. The Pivotal Training is a remote control turning target that will turn 360 and has a random mode to mitigate anticipation and it's neither huge nor heavy. If it's affordable (the prices are not yet posted on the website) I could see the Pivotal Trainer being very popular with shooters who don't have access to a mechanized range.
