Gear Nexbelt – new tactical/concealed carry belts at SHOT Recoil Staff January 8, 2016 Join the Conversation At RECOIL, we review every product fairly and without bias. Learn More Nexbelt, billed as the “Belt With No Holes” has partnered up with none other than MGM targets for SHOT Show 2016 to show off their new concealed carry and tactical belts. They'll be at Booth #20136. The Nexbelt features a unique ratcheting system they call “Precise-Fit.” Instead of the typical adjustment widths on a pin-and-buckle regular belt, this allows the wearer to adjust it in 1/4 in. increments, thus making it more “fine tuned.” This certainly provides some options when it comes to comfort and weapon/holster/clothing accommodation. Wearing a couple layers of longjohns? Ratchet the belt out just enough. Switching from a G43 to a G21 for the day, and wearing a couple mags IWB (or vice versa). You will (theoretically, if it works the way they describe) be able to achieve a better fit. As Nexbelt says, “Having just the right amount of tension to safely secure your firearm, and quickly switch from an IWB (inside the waistbang) holster to an OWB (outside the waistbandO holster is critical and no other gun belt offers this same technology.” The Nexbelt concealed carry and tactical belts with Precise-fit will accommodate up to a 52″ waist. The Defender model features a black or brown leather strap and a removable nickel buckle that is interchangeable with any other Nexbelt style. The belt backing is made of water resistant material for enhanced wear and sweat protection. The Blackhawk, Coyote and Olive Tactical Belt models feature an interchangeable military style buckle. The strap is described as being “…from a super-high-density microfiber material that's an advanced composite of ultra-fine polyester fibers.” Nexbelt, founded in 2010 by Tom Hunsucker, Francis Rowland and Eddie Rowland, is headquartered in California. Judging by the content of their Instagram feed (@nexbelt) they have previously focused on the sports market (specifically golf). Hopefully indications the concept was successful there will translate to the armed responsible citizen world. Says the latter Rowland, “MGM is the world's leader in portable steel targets for firearms training and competition shooting. That's why they're the perfect partner for us. These new Concealed Carry and Tactical Belts we're introducing will set a whole new standard in this category and replace an old outdated design that's been around for a few hundred years. Nexbelt will be the leader in this category once the shooting industry sees what we have to offer. We exhibited at a Concealed Carry Expo earlier this year. It was scheduled to be a 3 day show. Our belts were so popular that we completely sold out of our inventory in just a day and a half…that's the kind of response that gun owners have had to this Precise-Fit Technology. So we're very excited to be introducing these belts at the SHOT Show for the very first time.” ##### Follow us on Instagram, @RECOILmagazine and keep an eye out for these hashtags: #recoilmagazine, #recoil, #shotshow2016, #mediadayattherange and especially #recoilSHOT2016. The NSSF SHOT Show (Shooting, Hunting, and Outdoor Trade Show) and Conference is an annual event held by the National Shooting Sports Foundation. Typically attended by thousands of people from all 50 states and over a hundred countries, it is (quite rightfully) described as the “…world's premier exposition of combined firearms, ammunition, law enforcement, cutlery, outdoor apparel, optics, and related products and services. Imagine the Worlds' Fair, but packed with everything from mini-guns and every breed of body armor, bows and boots; from eye pro and ear pro to optics and ordnance, socks to swords…you get the idea. If you'd like to see a sampling of the companies who will be showing at this year's SHOT, there's a live map right here, though it doesn't reflect the organizations set up elsewhere, in hotel suites, etc View imagery from our coverage of last year's SHOT Show right here. 2016 SHOT Show January 18 — Media on the Range (numerous shooting facilities in and around Las Vegas) January 19–22, 2016 Sands Expo and Convention Center Las Vegas, Nevada Hours: Tuesday, January 19 8:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, January 20 8:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. Thursday, January 21 8:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. Friday, January 22 8:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. Explore RECOILweb:Thoughts on Thyrm's Switchback after initial useTisas PX-9: The Best Turkey Has To Offer?
