Getting MUDDy “Multi-Utility-Dirt-Defiant” is that MUDD stands for. The new folding knife from Hawk Knife Designs features a sealed locking mechanism intended to eliminate failure caused by dirt or debris and an XHP blade. The frame is bead-blasted, titanium with carbon fiber overlays, a bead blasted clip and molded urethane seals. The knife is closed using the locking slide on the handle. The frames on the first batch are silver titanium, but Hawk Knives advises they will be working on anodized titanium frames soon. The anodized handles will have blue, bronze, gold or purple options and will retail for $525.
