Learn More PROOF Research had their prototype composite drop in barrel for the Ruger Precision rifle on hand when I swung by the booth today. The barrel offers a weight savings of 1.25lbs over the factory Ruger barrel and shoots 10 shot, sub ¾ MOA using factory ammo…just when you thought that gun couldn’t get any better! Proof Research Ruger Barrel The PROOF test rifle consisted of a factory rifle fully equipped with PROOF composite drop in barrel, SilencerCo Harvester suppressor, Burris XTR scope, Atlas Bipod, Magpul MIAD grip, and TacAR Featherlight Stock. All up weight was 12.6lb. Here is a photo of the Oehler 10-shot test results. Installation takes all of 15 minutes and is considered a drop-in-barrel.
