GBRS Group Exclusive: Multicam True North Concepts Modular Holster Adapter

An elegant solution to a very real problem, the True North Concepts Modular Holster Adapter has attacked the problem of holster placement and security by giving the wearer both a firm platform and user preference. In collaboration, GBRS Group is dropping MHAs in Multicam. For those looking to complete their GBRS Group Assaulter Belt loadout, the opportunity is just around the corner.

The drop-leg holster originally attempted to solve the problem of drawing a handgun while wearing body armor before it became a fashion statement. When soldiers started wearing side-plates, they learned that the armor would block a clean draw stroke on their secondary weapon. In addition to this, the plates could pinch against the handle of a belt-mounted handgun. As a result, we saw various solutions, from mounting the holster on the plate carrier or using a drop leg attachment.

And they quickly took on, from deployed troops to Lara Croft, the drop-leg holster suffered when it became too popular for its own purposes. After a rough adolescence, however, it started to get its act together, and holsters crept closer and closer to the beltline and solutions similar to the True North Concepts Modular Holster Adapter accommodated for body mechanics.

Normally the Modular Holster Adapters come in solid colors such as black, tan, or OD Green. On Saturday, November 27th, at 1 PM Eastern, GBRS Group will exclusively be releasing a Multicam and a Multicam Black model of the adapter.

The adapter allows the wearer to set both ride-height and adjust the holster's angle both rotationally and vertically. That way the muzzle end of the pistol can be set closer to the adapter than the grip, for a smoother draw when worn with armor.

We're happy to see the maturation of the drop leg holster into a more adaptable and bio-mechanically suitable piece of equipment.

The Multicam and Multicam Black versions will exclusively be available starting Saturday, November 27th, at 1 PM Eastern, at gbrsgroupgear.com.
