Hunting Product Highlights from SHOT Show 2019

When I wasn't ogling new pistols, suppressors, and optics, I was able to find some pretty sweet hunting gear at SHOT Show this year. From game calls to new camo patterns, here are a few new hunting products that caught my eye…

The FOXPRO XWAVE is a sight to behold. Trust me when I say, this thing is the MAC DADDY of game calls. The XWAVE comes pre-loaded with 100 sounds, and can hold up to 1,000 sounds. It features a color remote display, swiveling speakers for sound focusing, two external speaker jacks, an aux jack, a charge jack, is USB re-programmable, has four custom preset buttons, an elastomeric remote keypad, and it is compatible with the FoxJack 3 decoy.

But wait…there's more.

The XWAVE is also Bluetooth compatible, and the lithium battery and charger kit are INCLUDED.  It is expected to be available for purchase around September, and honestly, all I can say to that is ‘Please take my money'. Wildgame Innovations brought their new ZeroTrace PureION Field Generator to SHOT Show and it looks very promising. Just imagine being on what seems like a perfect hunt. Then, the wind switches directions and just like that, every doe is singing the song of their people and the hunt is over. We have all been there.

This new product from Wildgame Innovations certainly aims to de-throne the Ozonics, as it offers new technology, which seeks to accomplish the same goal, but for half the price. ZeroTrace promises to safely neutralize human scent—none of the damaging effects to your health or gear caused by ozone. Instead, PureION technology utilizes the flow of molecules to safely dispel unwanted scent particles. ZeroTrace is lightweight, rechargeable (6 hours of battery life), quiet, has a TRUBark texture for maximum concealment, and has an adjustable magnetic mount to fit any setup. Browning just introduced their newest trail camera, the Defender Wireless, which finally brings them into the cellular game. Browning has been relatively tight-lipped about this camera, but I was able to gather a little bit of info about it. One of the features that grabbed my attention, was the way the data plan works for these cameras.

Camera owners will be able to have multiple cameras, in multiple locations all operating under one, no contract data plan. The data plans start at $12.99 per month, and they can be cut off when the cameras are not in use. Plans are offered for AT&T and Verizon, and are not based on your cellular provider, but simply who gives you the best service at your hunting property. This product is set to release Summer 2019. Barnett has introduced their newest crossbow, the HyperFlite 430.  The HyperFlite 430 features innovative technology in crossbow design. For starters, the cams are not on the end of the limbs, they're inward of the cams and hooked to the riser. This decreases the work being done by the limbs, and in turn, reduces vibration and noise. It shoots 430 fps, and is only 31 inches long. It includes a new crank cocking device that is more user-friendly, an upgraded scope with an illuminated reticle to allow hunting in lower light, and a Triggertech trigger. The arrows designed for the HyperFlite 430 (it comes with 6) are much slimmer than the standard crossbow arrow.

Recently, Mossy Oak released Overwatch, their newest camo pattern, and the new official camouflage pattern of the NRA.
