Learn More Jeff Benrud of Team MultiCam is a former USSOCOM operator who recently rode the 48th annual International Baja 1000 in the Iron Man Division — by himself. The veteran of over 700 real world assaults during 13 tours overseas rode the 860+ mile endurance race on a bike that was later auctioned off during SHOT Show to benefit a SOF related charity. MultiCam will be releasing a documentary soon. Here's the trailer. Edit: the feature is now live. More about Jeff Benrud, MultiCam and the Baja 1000 The documentary was filmed in partnership with Foxhound Productions to highlight Benrud's 25 hour solo journey. This year's SCORE International Baja 100 had 250 competitors, but just 7 in the Iron Man class. Participants ride or drive everything from dirt bikes (such as Benrud's MultiCam wrapped #715x Honda CRF450x) to “trophy trucks” that were at times roaring past him at speeds in excess of 100mph. At night. Says MultiCam Brand Manager Ernesto Rodriguez, “Jeff is not only a hero to our country, but he is also one of the toughest men on the planet.” The SCORE Baja 1000 is an all off-road race taking place entirely in the Baja Peninsula of Mexico. It began back in 1967 and has gained in popularity (and notoriety) in the years since. Here's how MultiCam describes it: Known as the longest point-to-point off-road desert race in North America, the Baja 1000 puts participants through a grueling pursuit, racing for close to 1000 miles through relentless terrain comprised of jagged rocks, loose sand, powdery silt beds, technical hill climbs and even more technical descents – not to mention livestock roaming freely. The Ironman division required riders to take on the burden of the entire race, on their own. No teammates, no rests.
