It's a guarantee that anything involving a dog will catch our attention. After a suggestion from an industry friend, we made sure we added the K9 Helm to our list of must-see booths.

The Trident K9 Tactical Helmet by K9 Helm is still in the production and testing phase. Official release date and price are to be determined. But, the anticipated price point is around $600. Current helmet design will fit 65 to 85 lb shepherd breeds such as German Shepherds and Belgian Malinois.

• Removeable Picatinny rail piece at the 12 o'clock position for device mounting
• Rear support design that stabilizes the helmet during sudden head movements
• Multi-panel foam padding, available in three sizes to achieve the best fit
• Strap guides and shielded button studs that maintain secure closure, but also allows for rapid adjustment or removal
• Replaceable parts, which extend the service life of the helmet

K9 Helm states the purposes of the helmet as:

To provide protection to injury prone areas of the head without compromising the dog's ability to use its ears, mouth or nose, or to move quickly and with agility.

To provide a stable platform for various accessories such as detachable muzzles and ear protection, cameras, tactical lights including infrared illuminators, and handler-to-dog communication devices.

Making off-leash work safer and more effective by combining the above utilities.
