Learn More We first got hands on with one of these at SHOT Shot 2015 (article here). Well, M+M Industries has followed through with a rather extensive press release. It's a significant deviation from your normal Kalashnikov. In their words: M+M, Inc. introduces the most advanced AK-platform rifle ever offered, featuring innovations never before incorporated in an AK-style rifle design. The rifle is 100% engineered and manufactured in the United States. The innovations include: Fully floated nitrided barrel (result of floated joint at gas cylinder and gas block) Ambidextrous charging handle and safety An aluminum, extruded hand guard/top cover with full-length mil spec and anodized picatinny rail with slots for M-LOK accessories Fully integrated upper receiver Proprietary recoil reducing compensator Hinged lower receiver (opens like an AR) Additionally there are a number of less obvious features to the new M10X. They are: Adjustable gas aperture Recoil spring has been eliminated Castling feature Plunger-style ejector There will be two versions of the M10X available initially. The Elite, as the name implies, is their higher end model. Extra features include: Machined Upper Receiver Machined Bolt Carrier Fully Nitrided Finish Magpul Grips Magpul M-LOK 5 Slot Picatinny Rail Magpul Stock Magpul Magazine The Standard is well, their standard model. It has: Cast Upper Receiver Cast Bolt Carrier Nitration and Manganese Phosphate Finish Hogue Grip Phoenix Tech Field Series Stock Tapco Magazine Furthermore, M+M Inc is releasing a number of 922R compliance parts for plain old Kalashnikovs. Official availability is to be determined–but we're looking forward to getting some range time and putting them through the paces.
