Learn More While the New York Times admits Black Rifles are really not all that scary, state legislators are making it more and more difficult for residents to acquire one. As a result, manufacturers are (thankfully) using market innovation to bring their products to New Yorkers despite the bans. MG Industries is one of those. They have released their NY Compliant MARCK-15 Hydra Modular Rifle, so that New Yorkers can also enjoy a multi-caliber weapon system within the confines of all those stupid regulations. It is important to note that it is MGI Policy to only sell firearms to a state government if they are also available to its residents. The NY Compliant Hydra Rifle is equipped with a Modular Lower Receiver utilizing an AR magazine well and their Quick Change Barrel Upper Receiver with modified bolt carrier, along with a 16” Bullnose Barrel. You won't be screwing on a fear inducing slaughterific attack compensator on this weapon! The MGI Hydra Modular rifle system converts from the standard .223 to .22lr, .6.5 Grendel, 6.8 SPC, .50 Beowulf, .458 SOCOM, and .450 Thumper. The video below shows how simple it is to change the caliber of the original MARCK-15 Hydra rifle by swapping out the barrel, bolt, and magazine well if necessary. To reach full compliance, a patent pending Thordsen padded rifle stock with multiple sling attachment points is integrated to offer the ergonomics and function of a hunting rifle stock while retaining the shoulder placement of a fixed stock. Pistol grips, of course, only belong in free states. The NY Compliant MARCK-15 Hydra weighs in at 7.5 pounds and an overall length of 34.75 inches. The rifle comes with a 10 Round Magazine and MSRP is $1,349.
