PHLster City Special For J-Frame and Ruger LCR Re-Launched

With so many good holster options out there for autoloaders, the re-launch of the PHLster City Special was a welcome announcement. PHLster will be offering fitments for both the Smith & Wesson J-Frame as well as the Ruger LCR.

Jon, the mad genius behind great holsters like the PHLster Classic and the Spotlight has revamped the original City Special with expanded fitment options, a new ambidextrous form that works for right or left-handed shooters, and compatibility with Crimson Trace laser grips.

Fit, Features, and Ergonomics We've improved the City Special in three major ways, bringing it in line with the other leading-edge products in the PHLster catalog: Smooth, ergonomic molding on both faces of the holster, maintaining ambidexterity, improving comfort, and preventing the belt-tipover common among small guns. Crimson Trace laser grip compatibility is now a standard and included feature on every holster. The fit range is dramatically expanded. The S&W J-Frame model is now compatible with the following Smith&Wesson model revolvers, up to 2.125 barrel length: 36, 43, 60, 340, 340PD, 351C, 351PD, 361, 437, 442, 637, 638, 640, and 642. Ruger LCR models have been added to the lineup, as well. The Ruger LCR model is compatible with all calibers and model of LCR up to 1.87in barrel lengths: 5401, 5409, 5410, 5414, 5424, 5427, 5428, 5430, 5434, 5439, 5450, 5452, 5456, 5460, 5462, and 5464. And, of course, the signature feature of the City Special, the first and only Reload Cut revolver holster, is continued and standard on all models.
