Almost everything Primary Weapons Systems shows creative innovation. From little nuances like a Ratchet Lock Castle Nut, to powertrain innovations like the toggle bolt .22LR, PWS isn’t content to let good enough alone. This year, they have taken on the Pistol Caliber Carbine (PCC), releasing a full-sized 16” barrel carbine as well as a short barrel braced-pistol version.

In states where long ranges are hard to come by, and for action-target enthusiasts that prefer the 9mm as an economical and short-range friendly answer, the PCC finds its niche. PWS outfitted it with a new compensator designed just for this setup, using an aggressive porting that grabs every bit of gas from the 9mm it can to keep the muzzle flat and fast shooting.

A unique rotary bolt hold-open provides more pressure to reliably lock the bolt back. Both PWS PCC models utilize Glock-pattern magazines, have slimline, floated M-LOK handguards, salt-bath nitride premium 41V50 1:10 twist chrome-moly barrels for accuracy and performance. The trim lowers feature a flared magwell and integrated trigger guard, and standard AR pattern controls that include safety selector, magazine release, an improved bolt release, and last round hold-open.

Be sure to drop by SHOT Show booth #10966 and ask them why it’s not piston-operated, or just keep eyes out for it at primaryweapons.com.
