Shot 2022: Two New Mounts from Unity Tactical

The FAST mounts by Unity Tactical have taken firearms by storm, giving the shooter a more heads-up posture for better vision and faster target acquisition. While we're most familiar with the FAST mounts for EOTechs and Aimpoint T-2 Micros, we've been keeping our eye out for new versions of the Flip-To-Center Mount.

Unity Tactical FAST Omni Magnifier FTC Mount System

LPVO's make sense as an optic ideal for many situations. Designated Marksman and competition shooters alike gain from having the range of magnification found in them. But what they don't do, is dominate the Night. A resurgence in 3x, 5x, and 6x magnifiers can partly be traced to the higher availability of quality Night Vision, whether it be in civilian hands, or conventional military and police. Unity once gave us the elegant flip-to-center mounts for EOTech footprint magnifiers that kept the weight of both centered on the gun.

However, since then, multiple challenges to the EOTech hegemony have taken shots at the king, some of them landing. As a result, Unity Tactical has just announced the Omni Magnifier FTC Mount System, which accepts the following:

• Eotech: G30, G23, G33, G43, G45
• Vortex: VMX-37, Micro 3x
• Trijicon: 3x MAG-C
• SIG SAUER: Juliet3x, Juliet4x, Juliet5x, Juliet Micro3x, Juliet Micro5x

Unity Tactical COMP Series Mount System

In addition to the new FTC, Unity Tactical has expanded their lineup of optics mounts to include one for the Aimpoint COMP footprint. Not all things immediately trickle down from high places, and the Comp series of optics continues to be one of the most sought after and fielded pieces of equipment.

Now military, police, and citizens do not need to throw the baby out with the bathwater, but can instead boost their optic to new heights for both head's-up shooting postures, and for use with gas masks, respirators, and night vision.

Developed as a solution for the DOD's standard issue M68 CCO, the FAST Comp Mount provides faster/easier dot/reticle acquisition while wearing night vision goggles, gas masks, plate carriers, and other gear. FAST mounts allows for a more rapid visual processing of the battlefield by promoting a head's up posture. The FAST Comp Mount is a drop-in replacement for all full size Simpoint Comp series and PRO optics. QD LEver compatible.
