TYR Tactical EPIC Low Vis Carrier

Back around the first of May, Peoria, AZ based Tyr Tactical launched a new Low Vis Carrier-MOLLE. It's the latest addition to their EPIC (Enhanced PICO Integrated Carrier) line of armor rigs and was announced during one of their Innovate or Die tour stops — this is an equipment warehouse and awesome sizing facility on wheels. Most recently (as in, yesterday) it was in Austin, TX near the Audie L. Murphy Regional Training Center at Camp Mabry. Before that they were in Waco and back before that they were up in the Pacific Northwest. Tuesday's stop is San Antonio.

Here’s what they told us about it.

The TYR Tactical EPIC Low Vis Carrier – MOLLE (TYR-M-EPIC-LOC-MOL) fits the soft armor from the Enhanced PICO Integrated Carrier – EPIC. The carrier is designed to minimize bunching in various positions while providing comfort and decreased shifting.  Additional MOLLE/PALS webbing on the carrier allows the user to scale their kit up or down when needed.  It’s engineered utilizing our revolutionary PV material which offers significant weight reduction with increased resistance to abrasion. PV has been tested to have 7-10 times higher abrasion resistance than standard mil spec nylon. PV also enhances the ballistic attributes of armor within the vest. Antimicrobial/FR treated padded spacer mesh is used internally for comfort.

These vests come in four different colors; Multi-cam, Coyote Brown, Ranger, Green, and Black. With no insert changes, MSRP is $1045.95. They tell us standard lead times are around 60 days as these are made to order.
