Anyone who has ever watched a Chuck Norris movie knows nothing is better in a fight than an Uzi (especially if Lee Marvin is there too). You'll be glad to know then that IWI US Inc (subsidiary of Israel Weapon Industries or IWI Ltd.) recently announced the release of their UZI Pro Pistol to the American market. It will debut this year at SHOT Show 2015. There will be two versions available here in the US, the basic pistol and pistol with a side-folding Stabilizing Brace (the UZI Pro SB). According to UZI, these firearms were built with one specific goal in mind- “Uncompromising performance and reliability on a robust design”. This 9mm gun features a light polymer grip and uses an “integrated magazine release button for fast and easy magazine changes”. The cocking handle is on the receiver side of the gun so you use a full-length Picatinny rail on the top receiver cover. There is also a short Picatinny rail in the polymer body below the barrel, “perfect for additional accessory placement.” Both models of the UZI PRO are about the same size- 4.5 inches barrel length, overall length of 9.5 inches, and about 3 and a half pounds. Depending on which model you’re looking at, the price ranges from $1109 to $1309. You can see the full press release here or keep up to date with new information released about this product on their website or Facebook page. Neither Chuck Norris nor Lee Marvin were available for comment.
