Learn More An excessive powder charge in three lots of .38 Special ammunition has prompted Winchester to issue a recall. If you happen to have any 100 round boxes of Winchester 130-grain full metal jacket ammunition in your stash, please check to ensure that the lot number printed on the inside of the right flap do not match the ones detailed in the recall notice. The lot is limited to Winchester part number USA38SPVP found in 100-round boxes, other part numbers are NOT affected by the recall. The affected lot numbers are KF21, KL30, and KM52, other lots are not affected by the recall. Again, these lot numbers are printed on the inside of the right side flap in black ink. If you happen to have any of the recalled ammunition, do not shoot it! The overcharge can cause damage to the firearm that could cause serious injury to the shooter or bystanders.
